Στη Μάλτα βρέθηκαν τις τελευταίες μέρες στελέχη του Οργανισμού Κεντρικών Αγορών και Αλιείας προκειμένου να παρακολουθήσουν το 12ο συνέδριο SeaWeb Seafood Summit που πραγματοποιήθηκε 1-3 Φεβρουαρίου 2016. Το συγκεκριμένο συνέδριο αποτελεί ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα γεγονότα στο χώρο της βιωσιμότητας των θαλασσινών ειδών διατροφής και αυτή τη χρονιά ασχολήθηκε με τις στρατηγικές και τα θέματα που θα επηρεάσουν την αγορά την επόμενη δεκαετία, με βασικούς άξονες «Το μέλλον της παραγωγής», «Την εφοδιαστική αλυσίδα του μέλλοντος» και «Το μέλλον της κατανάλωσης».
Οι εργασίες του συνεδρίου ανέδειξαν τόσο την συνδεσιμότητα των ορθών πρακτικών αλίευσης & εκμετάλλευσης των αλιευτικών προϊόντων με την καταναλωτική συμπεριφορά, όσο αυτών και με τις περιβαλλοντικές παραμέτρους που διαμορφώνονται από τον εν λόγω κλάδο.
Τα στελέχη του ΟΚΑΑ ΑΕ είχαν την ευκαιρία να ανταλλάξουν σκέψεις και πρακτικές με συνέδρους από διαφορετικές χώρες.

The last few days, representatives of Central Markets and Fishery Organization (CMFO SA) visited Malta in order to participate in the 12th edition of the SeaWeb Seafood Summit held in St. Julian’s 1-2 February. This year the event, known as the world’s premier conference on seafood sustainability, focused on the strategies and the emerging issues that will shape the marketplace a decade from now. The basic subjects were “The Future of Production”, “The Supply Chain of the Future” and “The Future of Consumption”.
The plenaries and the sessions of the conference highlighted the connectivity of good fishing practices and good use of seafood products to the consumer behavior and also to the environmental parameters, which are shaped by the specific industry.
The representatives of CMFO had the opportunity to exchange opinions, thoughts and practices with the other participants from different countries.
